Let's Do Coffee!![]() This morning's topic: "What are you doing to Spring Clean in your business? Share new ideas, practices and habits you are implementing to reboot and improve. Diane is making organization a priority through a new part time role she has taken on at an accounting firm in Needham. Kristen has set goals regarding her networking to strategically cover the state of MA and be accessible to her entire client base. Katelyn is getting creative on a give away for new clients to make her stand out and add a personal touch. Another great morning with WBG members to kick start our Friday. See you next month! |
Wine Tasting Event![]() What a perfect way to welcome the spring- FINALLY! Patty, Maruta, Katelyn and a guest met at the Wine & Provisions Shop in Sherborn to enjoy a complimentary wine tasting. We enjoyed sampling and learning about the unique selections of wines carried and the background of the family vineyards they come from. Following our wine tasting we headed into the pub at the Heritage to have some lunch together. We all left full, happy and with wine cabinets to stock! |
Revolving Luncheon![]() Seven of us enjoyed lunch at The Local and traded networking tips. Two standouts: (1) "Butt in Chair" -- a commitment to sit down and make telephone calls, both cold calls and renewing connections; and (2) flyer from local realtor highlighting recent sales in the neighborhood and including a recipe appealed to WBG member; it was the recipe which saved this flyer from the circular file and made a positive impression. Others spoke strongly about the importance of getting to know people and making human connections, without regard to a specific sale or networking goal, under the umbrella of "you never know." We left feeling motivated and, with warming temps, cautiously hopeful about spring! |
I Did It!![]() I'm thrilled to announce that I was awarded a Certificate in College Counseling with Distinction from the UCLA Extension School on May 19, 2018. This professional certificate compliments my experience in higher education, especially the time I spent both working as a staff member in an elite college admission office and as a faculty reader and voting member of an elite college's Admission Committee. If you have a junior in high school (or know someone who does) and you're looking for assistance navigating the increasingly complex college admission landscape, send me an e-mail! -Maruta Vitols |

Let's Do Coffee! 3.23.18![]() Happy Friday, WBG! Eight members gathered at Wholefoods in Wellesley for coffee and roundtable networking. We began with some casual conversation and recent examples of customer interactions that we had learned from. Many of us shared a laugh over the "Do It Yourselfers" who ultimately end up paying more by the time they realize they need a professional. We then went around the table to speak towards who our Women Mentors are and why, in honor of Women's History Month. Great to hear that many of us rely on women in our personal lives who gave us the support and inspiration we needed to get to where we are today. The instructor tailored our class to be suitable for beginners and to be more restorative and relaxing, per our request. We enjoyed getting together outside of a business setting, hanging out in yoga pants and t-shirts (the absolute BEST). The spa yoga class was 60 minutes with the perfect balance of muscle training and stretching, ending with a mindful piece that allowed us to truly unwind. We had a group of 8 WBG members meet at Whole Foods for our February Let's Do Coffee! We enjoyed casual conversation and brainstorming for the first half hour and ended our meeting with a specific question: "What drives you to network?". Each participant shared their philosophy of networking and what keeps them engaged. We all had our own reasons, but there was a commonality: "you never know". How true- a connection today could lead to business down the road. Looking forward to our next Coffee! |
