Danielle Trotta
Host of 'My Dream Car!' on Fox Business & Host of Sirius XM's 'On Track'
With over 15 years of broadcast experience, Danielle Trotta has covered NASCAR, Indy Car, the NFL, NBA, MLB, collegiate athletics, Supercross, & Moto GP for some of the biggest broadcasting companies in sports worldwide. Her work has taken her from the studio to the sidelines, and she can be heard daily on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio hosting her own NASCAR talk show. Trotta is married to Robby Benton, a former NASCAR driver, as well as NASCAR & IMSA team owner. They reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In October 2021, Danielle began filming, My Dream Car!, which premiered on Fox Business Channel in April 2022. This avenue outside sports & live events displayed her ability to host in the unscripted, reality style space as part of Fox Business Prime lineup featuring stories of American ingenuity. My Dream Car!, features families secretly restoring a classic car for their loved one and surprising them with the dream car from their past. Trotta helps guide each family and the viewer throughout the journey in one hour episodes airing on Fox Business & steaming on Fox Nation.
In February of 2018, Danielle added to her duties hosting a nightly sports talk show on NBC Sports Boston, by joining SiriusXM’s On Track, alongside Larry McReynolds, known as “America’s Crew Chief” In the midst of their fourth season together, they deliver unmatched, firsthand insight into the world of racing. That same year, Danielle was also tabbed as NBC Sports Boston’s sideline reporter for the Boston Celtics & hosted NASCAR Victory Lap for NBCSN, a live call-in post-race show at NBC Sports headquarters in Stamford, CT. Prior to her time in New England, Danielle traveled with ESPN, reporting for the NCAA Men’s & Women’s NCAA Swimming & Diving National Championships.
Trotta joined the FOX Sports family in July of 2010, as a reporter for NASCAR Race Hub and progressed into a co-hosting role in 2012. That same year, Danielle was tapped to host coverage of the NASCAR Awards Ceremony from Las Vegas in addition to co-hosting NASCAR Performance with Larry McReynolds, Chad Knaus & Jeff Hammond. In 2014 as SPEED launched into what is now known as FS1, Danielle added to her responsibilities hosting NASCAR Raceday-Xfinity, FS1’s NASCAR Xfinity pre-race, contributed to FOX NASCAR Sunday & the first female to host NASCAR Raceday, FOX & FS1’s NASCAR Cup pre-race shows, respectively. In 2015 she ventured into the NFL for the first time as a sideline reporter for the NFL on FOX.
Before the racing bug hit her, Trotta hosted ACC Blitz, the ACC Network's pregame and halftime show, with Coach Tommy Bowden in 2011. In addition, Trotta spent five years with WBTV in Charlotte, where she anchored six live sports shows each weekend, serving as host of Sports Saturday Night, co-hosted Football Friday Night and The Point After with D & D. She also has written football columns for Charlotte Weekly and contributed weekly segments on ESPNU Radio 730 AM in Charlotte.
A native of Westchester, N.Y., Danielle and her family have called Charlotte home for the last 20 years. She attended Carmel High School in Carmel, Ind., where she was a part of three consecutive state championships in swimming & diving. In March 2016, Trotta competed in Dancing with the Stars of Charlotte, a local charity event benefiting Carolina Breast Friends, a local chapter which she's still involved with today. Trotta is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Mass Communications.
