WBG President’s Letter April 2018

Hello Wonderful Women of WBG!

Spring is official here this week! So of course, mother nature is sending us another snow storm...oh New England, we love you anyways.
This month we are asking your help in our goal of welcoming business women who work from home. Some of our members are familiar with the struggles that running your business from home can entail. The biggest is feeling lonely, and no one likes to be on their own in business. Joining a networking organization gives a sense of belonging and the social aspect of a job which is so crucial to staying healthy and motivated. Not to mention WBG members are incredibly dedicated to one another both professionally and personally, we are what these women may be needing!!
Lets show them what the support of WBG can do for them! Whether they see value in our speakers at general meetings, support from our small group networking, or discussions at our business forums- WBG can be a big help to any woman in this position. If you know anyone who fits this description please invite them or direct them to speak to our membership chairwoman, Katelyn Atwater.
I'm so impressed with the amount of new faces in the room for general meetings and at outside events. Great job inviting guests! On behalf of all the board members, I want to thank you all for your patience and trust while we made updates to the website this past year. We are happy to announce that we have been getting strong interest from those who find us online and have officially welcomed newest member, Lynn Croft, as our first member who found us, signed up for an event, and then applied online- all on her own! In addition we have had 4 women reach out to learn more and sign up to attend as a guest. An updated and active website is a powerful tool, I encourage you all to use it to teach professional women in your world who we are and what value we add.
I look forward to seeing you all at our April 13th General Meeting!
